PIEDMONT | We said goodbye to our dear Michael Terry McGee on Friday, Sept. 23, 2016. Michael was known to friends and family as "P", Mikee and Dingus.

He passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones after a brief and courageous battle with cancer. Michael was born June 2, 1948, in Kankakee, IL, to Carlene and Paul McGee.

Michael is survived by his wife, Judith McGee; Stepson, Dallas Morgan and wife Diana; grandson, Jordan; sister-in-law, Alison Morrison and husband Kit; two nieces, Riley and husband Josh Christianson, Whitney and husband Zack Stowe; three great nieces and two great nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Paul and Carlene Simpson McGee as well as his son, Sean McGee.

He married his best friend, Judith on Nov. 25, 1986. They spent 30 adventurous years together between Arizona and South Dakota. Michael was employed at ATT, where he met Judy, until he retired at the age of 56. After he retired from ATT, he went back to school to pursue his lifelong dream of becoming a truck driver. He then drove for B and G Company for ten years. When he wasn't working, he enjoyed riding his Harley, the Rally, scuba diving, anything outdoors, and his animals, especially his cat, Cakes. The memories he created will forever remain in our hearts. He will always be remembered for his vivacious, genuine spirit and his sense of humor. His fun and adventurous soul touched so many hearts. Michael is gone too soon, deeply loved, and will be forever missed.

A Celebration of Life will held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Rapid City Regional Hospital Hospice of the Hills would be appreciated.
