May 28, 1965-June 26, 2020

Michael A. Roybal, 55, passed away Friday, June 26, 2020 at Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City with his daughter, Jessica by his side.

He was born in Delta, Colorado to Frank Roybal and Catherine Valdez.  Frank passed away in 1974 in a mining accident in Colorado Jones Pass.  Michael was nine years at the time of his death.

Michael grew up in Colorado, spending the majority of his time in the great outdoors.  That is where Michael was the most at peace.  In 1979 Michael meet Victoria Lynn Guice, the two were married and to this union three daughters, Ashley, Jessica, and Amy were born.  Michael and Victoria were married for 25 years.

Three years after moving to Spearfish, South Dakota, Michael was diagnosed with a terminal illness.  On June 26, 2020, Michael passed away suddenly from complications of liver failure. His daughter, Jessica held him until he took his last breath.

He is survived by his three daughters, Ashley Nicole Roybal, Jessica Rose Roybal, and Amy Marie Fordyce; sisters, Patty and Teresa; brother, Jason; and his very special grandchildren.

Michael was the most genuine man that walked this earth.  While he was here on this earth, I was his living angel and now he is mine.
