Michael was born to Dale and Wanda Scheler on March 31, 1940 in Wheatland, WY, and grew up in Casper, WY.

He married the love of his life, Carolyn Pabst, on May 12, 1984.

Michael E. Scheler, 78, Box Elder, SD, passed away after a long, courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, September 9, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Scheler; children, Jason, Joshua, Christina (George), Mark (Shelly), Michelle, and his Jamaican son, Karl McFarland; and 4 grandchildren, Jared, Kevin, Memphis, and Brandon.

A celebration of Mike's life will be 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM Thursday, September 13, 2018 at the Box Elder Events Center, 420 Villa Drive, Box Elder, SD.
