March 4, 1953 - September 27, 2017

Mike was born on March 4, 1953, the son of Jerry and Dolores Schryver, in Sioux Falls, SD.

His funeral service will be held Monday, October 2, 2017 at 3:00 pm at Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, SD.  Non-immediate family can meet at the cemetery prior to the service.  Immediate family is invited to the Black Hills Funeral Home in Sturgis at 2:00 pm on Monday, October 2, 2017, prior to the 3:00 pm service.

Mike passed away, unforeseen, on September 27, 2017 at the age of 64, in Deadwood, SD.  He is very much loved by his family and friends.  He now joins his lovely wife, Gloria Schryver and his parents.

He is survived by his children, Mikey Schryver, Angie DeNeire, and Jerry Schryver; sister, Isabelle.  The family tree expands to ten grandchildren.

In his younger years, he grew up in Sioux Falls and went to Washington High School where he met his wife, Gloria.  He later joined the US Army as an infantry during the Vietnam War.  After his service, he returned to his wife and family in Sioux Falls.

Mike was very much a man's man and known for his great wit.  He enjoyed motorcycle riding with his children, four wheeling in the Black Hills, and was an avid gun collector.  There wasn't a western show he didn't watch.  And definitely anyone who knew him, knows he was one of a kind and our world will miss him.
