Mildred was born January 19, 1919 in Lusk, WY, to Clarence and Arta (Anderson) Leeling. She married Frank Willson on March 2, 1940, in Deadwood, SD. In 1946, they purchased land south of Whitewood in in 1953, began raising Angus cattle.

Mildred Willson, 98, of Whitewood, SD, passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2017, at Sturgis Regional Hospital.

Survivors include two sons and their wives, Jim and Donna of Whitewood and Vern and Shirley of Black Hawk, SD; one daughter, Irene Wehner of Whitewood; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, siblings, and a son-in-law.

Visitation will be Friday, February 17, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 18, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. at Whitewood Presbyterian Church with Pastor Jil Jennewein officiating.

Interment will be at St. Onge Cemetery.

A memorial has been established to the Whitewood Presbyterian Church Benevolence Fund.
