Nancy Allyn Stanton, 74, passed away in Pierre, South Dakota on April 27, 2025.

She was born in Redding, California on July 12, 1951, to Willard and Barbara (Lindstrum) Lewis.

Nancy married Kelly Stanton on February 14, 2006. She enjoyed sharing adventures with her husband of 36 years. Together they spent as much time as possible traveling and enjoying nature. Nancy particularly enjoyed road trips in various RVs and throughout the country including Canada and Alaska. She also enjoyed boating; they visited many sites in the Puget Sound in Washington and Canada. Nancy also enjoyed trips to Mexico, the Caribbean, Cabo San Lucas, etc.

Nancy was a loving and gentle woman who always put others ahead of herself. She loved her little yorkie dogs that were her constant companions for many years.  Nancy was diagnosed with cancer in 2023 and endured a long and suffering existence until her death. She and her husband moved to Pierre in May of 2024 where they had family support and a cancer center to treat her illness.

She is survived by her husband, Kelly of Pierre, SD; brother, Jeff Lewis of Pahrump, Nevada; sister, Peggy Brown of Coatsville, Pennsylvania; and Randy and Linda Jirsa of Pierre and their extended local family.

Nancy was very much loved by her friends and family and will be greatly missed.
