Nick grew up in Worcester, Massachusetts and moved with his family to Spearfish in 1998. He graduated from Belle Fourche High School in 2009,
and went on to graduate from Job Corps. After graduation, he began work with his family at Carpet Buyer's Outlet in Spearfish, and Larry's Installation in Rapid City as a carpet installer.

He enjoyed football and was an avid Patriots and Bruins fan. Nick always looked up to his father. He loved his nephew, Ben with whom he had a special relationship, teaching him how to wrestle.

Nicolae "Nick" James Pellegrino, 23, Sturgis, died Sunday, August 31, 2014, at his residence.

Nick is survived by his parents, Jim and Kathy Pellegrino, Spearfish; brother, Dario Pellegrino, Spearfish; sister, Anna Pellegrino, Sturgis; nephew,
Benjamyn Huber-Pellegrino, Sturgis; aunts, Mary-Jo Hall, West Boylston, MA, Judy Rennie, CT, and Sharon Flood, North Grafton, MA; grandmother,
Virginia Pellegrino, Auburn, MA; and cousins, Johnny and Dylan Hall, and Tori Beaton.
