Norma Jean Swain was born November, 30 1932, to Chester and Agnes (Meyer) Swain. This began the 68-year span of loving devotion and sacrifice, of her mother, for a daughter whom she cared for until 1999 when Norma Jean moved to the Massa Unit of Sturgis Senior Health Care
Center.

Norma Jean, 78, Sturgis, died Friday, August 19, 2011, at Sturgis Hospital.

She is survived by aunt, Ruth Sheen of Billings, MT; cousins, Duane (Mary Ellen) Hoover of Newberry Park, CA, Chris P. Doran of O'Fallon, IL, Anthony J. McNeill of Livingston, MT, Mary Katherine (Bob) Garness of Rapid City, Harriet Young of Rapid City; second cousins, Carrie Hoover of CA and Doug Hoover of CA, Ken (Jane) Garness of Belle Fourche, Alan (Norma) Garness of Rapid City, Randy Garness of Rapid City, Rita (Harold) Cole of Rapid City, Lori Lewis, of Rapid City, Jimmy McNeill of Phoenix, AZ, Scott McNeill of Livingston, MT, Anthony McNeill of Denver, CO, Michelle McNeill of AK, Cheryl Snyder of Colorado Springs, CO, Susan Kidd of Phoenix, AZ, and Patrick Doran of O'Fallon, IL.

Norma Jean was preceded in death by her father, Chester Swain; mother and step-father, Agnes and John Mayer; aunts, Mary McNeill, Theresa Doran, Leona Hudson, and Regina Meyer; uncle, Otto "Bud" Meyer; cousins, Daniel P. McNeill, Patricia Yanzick, and Gordon Hoover; and second
cousins, Carol Anderson and Michael Yanzick.

A memorial has been established to the St. Aloysius Cemetery in Sturgis.
