Olga Marie Miller, 78, Sturgis, died Thursday, February 19, 2015, at Sturgis Regional Hospital.

She was born January 18, 1937, in Longmont, CO, to Claude and Maria Parra. Olga spent her youth in Colorado and South Dakota attending grade school at St. Martins Academy and high school in Cottonwood, SD. She received her certificate for nursing assistance in 1980.

She left some delicious recipes for spicy salsa, enchiladas, and tomato relish that will keep her memory alive. A gifted cook and homemaker, she warmed the heart of many folks throughout her lifetime with her culinary delights.

She loved the outdoors, spending time fishing, camping, hiking, and watching the stars. There are many who have cherished memories of outdoor adventure, which extends into 3 generations! She was an excellent cook, wonderful aunt, and loved her family. Olga touched a lot of lives. Her friends and family will miss her contagious zest for life, laughter, and amazing gift of unconditional love.

She is survived by one brother, Alonzo Parra, Unalask, AK; one sister, Cleo (Lawrence) Loobey, Sturgis, SD; special friends, Lisa and Bob Cermack, Sturgis, Eldon Schroeder and family, Jack (Kelly) Gully of Newell, and Reba Loobey and family; nieces and nephews, Michael Loobey and Mitchell Loobey and his children and grandchildren, Nicole Jones, Jucole (Kayla) Jones, Jaezdyn, Kaezlynn, Laesha, and Jessi, LJ (Jaymie) Loobey and their child, Zedekiaha, Tina (Mark) Wynia, and their children, Nick, Johanna, and Leo, and Michele Loobey-Gertsch and her children, Sean and Drew.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am Monday, February 23, 2015, at Kinkade Funeral Chapel with Rev. Denzel Nonhof officiating.
