OSCAR JOHAN SORENSON, a long-time resident of Riverside, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at the age of 78, at Rapid City Regional Hospital in South Dakota.

Oscar was born January 6, 1937, to Bertha and Olaf Sorenson, in Oberon, North Dakota. Of late, he was a resident of Newcastle, Wyoming.

Preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and a granddaughter. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Violet (Vi), and four children, three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A dedicated husband, father and grandfather,

Oscar loved to take part in motorcycle desert racing, camping, watching Nascar, and caring for his family and friends. He retired as an Owner/Operator of Sorenson Trucking in 2011.

We will forever miss and love him and know that he's with the Lord.
