Obituary

Otto Theodore Lindeman, 80, of Sundance, WY, died Monday, August 27, 2007, at Crook County Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Lindeman was born November 4, 1926, near Dodge, ND. He attended rural schools in the Dodge area and high school in Golden Valley, ND.

Otto served in the US Army in Germany during WWII and in the Korean Conflict.

Mr. Lindeman was married June 22, 1952, to Bernice Wiedenmeyer at Trinity Lutheran Church, Kronthal, ND.
He farmed with his father for 3 years. He moved his family to Lead, SD, in 1955 and worked at the Homestake Gold Mine. The Lindemans moved to Sturgis, SD, in 1960 where he worked various construction jobs. From 1985 to 1994, he lived and worked in the construction industry in Gillette, WY. Mr. Lindeman retired in Sundance in 1994.

At the time of his death, he was a member at Hope Lutheran Church in Spearfish. He was previously a member at Christ Our Redeemer Lutheran in Gillette, and Trinity Lutheran in Sturgis.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years,daughter,4 grandchildren,2great-grandchildren,3 sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by infant sons, Charles and Keith; granddaughter-in-law, Heather Schlomer; parents, Jacob and Emma (Hintz) Lindeman; brothers, George Lindeman and Jake Lindeman; and sisters, Esther Link, Erma Lindeman, Ruth Traxel, and Shirley Presser.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 30, 2007, at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis. Pastor Mark Schutz of Hope Evangelical Lutheran Church, Spearfish, will officiate. Burial will follow at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis.
