Patti was born May 4, 1951, in Deadwood, SD, to Helen and Jim Beck. She grew up in Deadwood and graduated from Deadwood High School in 1969.
Following her graduation, she moved to Hot Springs, SD, where she worked at the VA. She married Jim Wilder and to this union, one son, Clint, was born. Following her divorce from Jim, Patti married Thomas Hoffman and they had three children, Tera, Sommer, and Jebidiah. Patti enjoyed crafting, camping, and bowling with Tom. They later divorced.
In June 1995, Patti married Jim Farrell. Together, they watched the Denver Broncos, old westerns, and baseball. They led a simple life and loved each other for 23 years.
She worked for the VA in Hot Springs and at Fort Meade. During her 40 years of service, she was passionate about working with and helping the Veterans.
Patti was kind, had beautiful blue eyes, and a generous giving spirit to match, adored Christmas, was a crafter extraordinaire, and loved her family. She enjoyed golfing with her family. She was actively involved in a card-crafting community, which she adored.
Patricia "Patti" Ann (Beck) Farrell, 67, Sturgis, died Monday, October 29, 2018, at her residence.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Farrell, Sturgis; her mother, Helen Beck, Sturgis; children, Clint Wilder, Denver, CO, Tera (James) Emmons of Germany, Sommer (Chris) Hill of Montrose, CO, and Jebidiah (Hollie) Hoffman of Rapid City; one brother, Mike (Renel) Beck, Sturgis; grandchildren, Hunter (Jenica) Wilder, Thomas (Kennan) Hoffman, Ariel (Johnny) Valdez, Tristen Hendricks, Owen Hoffman-Anderson, Garhardt Wilder, James Emmons, Lillie Hoffman, Parker Hoffman; great-grandchildren, Addison Valdez, Celina Valdez, and Elaina Hoffman; brothers-in-law, Pat (Kim) Farrell, Brighton, CO, and Steve Tarrell, Hot Springs; sisters-in-law, Deb Honey, Rapid City, Mary (Brian) Storgaard, Sturgis; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by maternal and paternal grandparents; her father, Jim; two brothers, Gary and Patrick; and one sister, Kim.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 31, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 1, 2018, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Sturgis with Father Timothy Castor officiating. Burial will follow at St. Aloysius Cemetery.
