LEAD | Patricia Ruth Mettler passed away peacefully surrounded by her children and grandchildren on March 29, 2014.

Pat was born Friday, Oct. 13,1926, in Milligan, NE, to Otto and Doris (Radford) Hasik. She was the wife of Luvern Levi Mettler, US Army veteran.

Preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Doris Hasik; husband, LuVern (Vern) Mettler; infant son, James; brother, Mike; sisters, Katherine and Marie; son-in-law, Lynn Denton; and many aunts and uncles.

She is buried with her husband at Black Hills National Cemetery, Sturgis, SD.
