Pat was born on May 4, 1951, in Deadwood, SD, to James E. Beck and Helen E. Beck. He was a twin to a sister, Patti. He attended Deadwood public School and graduated in May of 1969. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy on February 24, 1970, and was honorably discharged on December 4, 1973.
Pat worked at Homestake Gold Mine and Pope and Talbot sawmill as a saw filer until he left to work in the mill in Colorado. Pat moved from there to Hullett, WY, where he worked as a Mill Wright until moving to Casper, WY. He left Casper and moved back to SD where he met Deb Honey.
He loved going fishing at Deerfield Lake which was his favorite place. He also enjoyed deer hunting with his brother, Michael. Pat will be missed by many friends and family. He was loved by all.
Patrick Philip Beck died Wednesday, October 25, 2017, at the Department of Veterans Affairs Hospital at Fort Meade.
Pat is survived by his spouse, Deb Honey; children, Shannon and Kiley; mother, Helen E. Beck; brother, Michael Beck; sister, Patti Farrel; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, James E. Beck; a younger sister, Kimberly Tarrell; and his grandparents.
Memorial services will be Monday, October 30, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis, SD, with an inurnment Black Hills National Cemetery with military honors.
