Patrick Napoli, brother, father, uncle, and friend passed from this earth to be with the GOD he loved, on September 30, 2018 after a 15 year battle with cancer.

Patrick, 72, was born November 16, 1945 in Rapid City, SD. Patrick led an extraordinary life. After graduation from Rapid City High School, Pat married June Ames, in 1968, and they moved to Washington State. Together they had a son, Patrick Jr. Pat obtained his EMT license, owned an ambulance company, and other businesses, and then went on to earn his degree in Sociology.

Pat lived in Texas with his son, when he was first diagnosed with cancer in 2003. At that time he began the non-profit program, Adventure with Santa. He wanted to give love and comfort to ill and special needs children. Pat returned to Rapid City in 2009 and continued his Santa program and to spend his remaining years with those he loved, in the city he loved.

With the help of his very best friend, De Schekel, Pat became the Santa at Main Street Square until December 2017. With his friend (Mrs. Claus), Pat Gaffney, they also visited children at the Children's Home Society, hospitals, and in their homes.

Pat was preceded in death by his father and mother, Angelo and Dorothy Napoli; and his brother, Donald.

He is survived by brothers, Ralph, Great Falls MT, and Bill (Peggy), Rapid City; sister, Bonita, Pullman, WA; son, Patrick Jr. (Karen), The Colony, TX; one granddaughter; three step daughters; one step-granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews.

Patrick passed on his legacy to Santa Keith, who will continue the Adventure with Santa program. A memorial has been set up to continue the Adventure with Santa program, cards and donations may be sent to 517 Main St. Rapid City, SD 57701.

A Requiem Mass with Father Chris Hathaway will be held at 10 am on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Immaculate Conception Church, 922 5th St. in Rapid City.  A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at 6 pm at the Eagles Club, 1410 Centre Street in Rapid City.
