IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Patsy L.
Mulloy
November 4, 1953 – February 22, 2026
Memorial Service
Central Meade County Community Center
10:00 - 11:00 am (Mountain time)
Patsy Lee (Tiensvold) Mulloy was born on November 4, 1953, in Tacoma, Washington, to Norris and Dolores (Carroll) Tiensvold. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on February 22, 2026, at Monument Health in Rapid City, South Dakota, after a brief illness.
The oldest of six children, Patsy grew up and attended school in Chugiak, Alaska, where her formative years shaped her resilience and independence. She remained in Alaska through her school years before moving to Rapid City, South Dakota, as an adult in the early 1970s.
Throughout her life, Patsy was devoted to those she loved. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. On August 3, 1987, she married her soulmate, Bruce Mulloy, and in 1991 they moved to Union Center, South Dakota. Their life together was one of partnership, commitment, and shared purpose, grounded in love and mutual respect.
Patsy spent much of her career as a bookkeeper and tax preparer, skills she learned while working alongside her mother. She was well known and respected for her professionalism, integrity, and willingness to help others, building lasting relationships through her work and leaving a meaningful impression on those she served. Outside of her work, she was a gifted craftswoman who enjoyed quilting and needlework, often creating pieces that were shared with and treasured by family.
Patsy was the proud mother of five children: Trina Reese, Christopher Pickens, Elaine (Randy) Smith, Carol-Anne (Jade) Hlavka, and Marie (Jeff) Koupal. She took great joy in watching her family grow and was especially proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, celebrating each milestone with quiet pride and unwavering support.
Above all else, Patsy loved her family. She spoke of them often and held each one close to her heart. Her legacy is one of devotion, strength, and quiet generosity—values that will continue to live on through those who loved her.
She is survived by her husband, Bruce; her children; eleven grandchildren—Marty, Angela (Shawn), Rowan, Carston, Holden, Maren, Waylon, Zeke, Briggs, Tiberius, Magnolia; two great-grandchildren—Isabel and Zoey; her sister Joy (John) Pappas; and her brothers Norris Jr. (Lisa) Tiensvold and Russ (Chris) Tiensvold.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Norris and Dolores Tiensvold; her sister Roxanne Tiensvold; and her brother Roy Tiensvold.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of your choice in Patsy’s name.
