Rapid City ~ Paul Amos Kurek, 67 of Rapid City, passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at the Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center, Fort Meade, SD. He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Era, from 1964 to 1968. Survivors include a brother, Stephen Kurek, Rapid City, two special nephews, Tracey (Gemma) Kurek, Texas, and Stephen (Mary) Kurek, Rapid City, South Dakota; along with many additional nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Stephen and Helen Kurek, and a sister, Kathleen Berglan A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis. Military honors will be conducted by the Sturgis Veteran's Honor Guard. Black Hills Funeral Home and Cremation Services have been entrusted with arrangements.
