Paul Anthony May, 41, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2020 in Rapid City.

He was born on August 8, 1978 in Neptune, New Jersey to Harry and Belinda (Lockhart) May.

Paul married Ashley Kallem on January 19, 2010 in Missoula, Montana.

He touched so many lives.  His greatest joy was spending time with friends and family.  He loved fishing, being outdoors, and he loved being involved with his girls and their school.  He loved helping with their homework and volunteering in their classes.

Paul enjoyed so many experiences in his life. From hitchhiking across the U.S. to hopping trains to finally settling down with his family.  He leaves behind so many friends he met along the way.  He loved listening to music and painting his beautiful pictures.  We had so many special family moments.  He truly enjoyed celebrating holidays because it meant family time.  His favorite was Halloween so we would spend days decorating together.  Summer meant so many bbq's and nights spent outside around the fire pit.  He loved just sitting outdoors watching all the kids play.

There is so much that could be said about Paul, his determination and strength to overcome any obstacle he faced helped him live each day to the fullest.  He always had some sort of witty comment or comeback for anything said.  He truly will be missed.  Paul, we will make sure the kids always eat their vegetables and teach them how important it is to not lose that poker game!

He is survived by his wife, Ashley May; mother, Belinda May; daughters, Lacie, Hadlie, Daysie, and Karma May; brother, Randy May; sister, Jessica May; grandmother, Barbara Rodriquez; uncle, Charles; aunts, Paula, Charlotte, and Wendy; mother-in-law, Debbie Kallem; sisters-in-law, Amee Kallem and Cara Hunton; and brother-in-law, Nick Kallem.

Paul was preceded in death by his father, Harry May; and grandparents, Joel and Johnnie Osteen and Paul Lockhart.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, June 29, 2020 at Canyon Lake Park near Pavilion 1.  Please come and help us fill the day with love and memories of Paul.
