Paul Michael Parker, 66, of Lead, South Dakota, passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at Monument Health Rapid City, South Dakota.

Paul was born in Kentucky on May 22, 1956.

Paul had a love for baseball, the outdoors, hiking and traveling. He and his wife, Brenda, would take walks and go on hikes with their beloved dog, Kona. Paul also enjoyed treasure hunting at antique shops and garage sales. Whenever possible, Paul would travel with his children, grandchildren and other family members to various places all around the country. He loved this country and all of the beauty it has to offer. Paul was a pillar of his community. He made it a point to know all of his neighbors, something rarely seen these days, and he was always pleased to lend a helping hand. He never met a stranger and loved to talk to everyone he met. He always had an interesting story to tell, and we loved to hear them. I sometimes think he was the inspiration for the movie Big Fish!

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Parker and Bessie DeVaney.

Paul is survived by his wife, Brenda Parker of South Dakota; children, Steven Parker of California, Chris Parker of Oklahoma, and Jana Parker of Oklahoma; grandchildren, Scout Parker, Reagan Parker, Nolan Parker, Ella Parker and Lucy Parker of California, Genesis Cruz of North Dakota, Fintan Delaney, Haiden Delaney and Joseph Parker Klimek of Oklahoma.

Paul was greatly loved and will be deeply missed.

Paul is being cremated and no services are planned at this time.
