Ridgedale, Missouri - Paul H. Schwarting, 80, of Ridgedale, died Thursday, January 26, 2012 at his home in Ridgedale. He was born on May 7, 1931 in Hecla, S.D., the son of Henry G. and Elizabeth C. Schwarting. He was a retired civil engineer and a veteran of the United States Air Force. He had been a resident of the Ridgedale area for the past 17 years. Survivors include his wife of 54 years Jean Ann Schwarting, Ridgedale; two daughters, Karen (Walt) Wilkinson, Carrollton, TX, Connie Posekany, Crane, MO; one sister, Etta Lewis, Oakes, N.D.; two grandchildren and one great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; five siblings, Harold Schwarting, Eda Cole, Harvey Schwarting, Fern McCart and Delbert Schwarting. Memorial services were held Monday January 30, 2012 at Greenlawn Funeral Home in Branson, MO. Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 14, 2012 at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis, South Dakota with Chaplain (Ret.) Herbert B. Cleveland officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the Ellsworth Air Force Base Honor Guard.
