Paul Ray Wilhelm, 79, of Rapid City, SD, died July 11, 2022, at Department of Affairs Fort Meade VA Hospital, Fort Meade, South Dakota.

Paul "Ray" Wilhelm, was born on October 12, 1942, in Philip, SD, to Paul and Francis (Eymer) Wilhelm.  After high school, in Rapid City, SD, he entered the US Army in January of 1963 and served his country honorably until January of 1966.  Ray left the South Dakota area and pursued his profession working for Power and Light in California.  In 2000, he moved back to the Rapid City area where he has lived until he lost his battle with cancer.

He loved playing pool, watching NASCAR, the Kentucky Derby, and the NFL.

Ray is survived by his daughter, Kami Bush; his son, Dustin (Bridgette) Wilhelm; five grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

Committal services with military honors will be at 3:00 pm on Friday, July 15, 2022, at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis, SD.
