Obituary

Pauline Loretta Brimmer, age 79 passed away on November 18, 2024 in Sturgis, SD. Born on April 14, 1945, Pauline dedicated much of her life to nurturing her family and contributing to her community.

Pauline's career was marked by her role as a rancher and farmer's wife where she milked cows, a devoted stay-at-home mom, and a waitress. Her compassion extended beyond her family as she served as caretaker for the elderly in her home with grace and dedication. Her commitment to service was exemplified by her 19 years of service at Ft. Meade caring for America's hero's; a role she cherished deeply.

A devout member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Pauline's faith was on essential part of her life. Her faith played a significant role in her life guiding her actions and commitments. Pauline had a variety of interests that brought joy to her life and those around her.

Not many knew Pauline had a wild side but it came out when she entered the powder puff demolition derby in her younger years. She took second place, a proud moment for her. She was an avid crocheter and enjoyed coloring. Her love for family was immense and she cherished time spent playing outdoor games with them. These moments brought great joy and laughter to her and all who knew her.

In her later years she enjoyed playing BINGO with "the girls", a group that became a second family to her. Pauline's life was a testament to the power of community, faith, and family values she held dear. Her legacy of love and care will continue to live in the hearts of those she touched.

She leaves behind her loving husband of 53 years; Garry; their children, Glen and Melissa; and her grandson Rowdy (Megan) Mauch. Pauline was also a proud great-grandmother to Emerson and Keaton. Her sisters Marcella, Roberta, Anita, and Delores will remember her fondly. Pauline was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Helena Reinert; brothers LeRoy and Fritz; and sisters Barbra and Agnes.

The family would like to express their gratitude to all the staff at Sturgis hospital who cared for Pauline in her final months ensuring her comfort and dignity. Pauline's life was a testament to her enduring love and care for others, leaving a legacy of warmth and devotion that will be cherished by her family and all who knew her.
