Funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at the Sturgis First Wesleyan Church with Pastor Dan Ziebarth officiating. Burial will follow at Black Hills National Cemetery.

Pauline was born to John and Pauline (Zulauf) Walker on May 8, 1927, in Red Elm, SD. She married the love of her life, James Rogers at Mobridge in 1947.

Her goal in life was to make sure that all of her family knew and lived their life for the Lord. Her God and family were the most important part of her life. Pauline loved gardening and cooking for her family; especially German dishes. She constantly followed all of her grandchildren's activities and was very involved in their lives.

She was a member of the First Wesleyan church and belonged to various Bible study and craft groups.

Pauline is survived by her sons, Gerald (Cheryl) Rogers and Don (Theo) Rogers, all of Deadwood; daughters, Marie (Kurt) Hartman, Sturgis, and Barbara (Rocky) Mattson, Deadwood; sister, Jeanie Schultz, Rapid City; 14 grandchildren, and 30 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jim in 1989, two sisters, three brothers, and great-grandson, Tyge Hartman in 2007.

A memorial has been established to the First Wesleyan and First Trinity Methodist Youth Programs.
