Obituary

Hope was born to Mark and Ella (Weyland) Hubbard, the family lived at Draper, SD, until 1934 when they moved to Newell, SD, and in 1936 to Vale, SD.
Hope graduated from high school at St. Martin's Academy in Sturgis in 1948. She taught school at Horse Creek near Newell and at Royal Center in Meade County.
Hope was married to Dorwin Weiss in Newell on June 28, 1950. They ranched at Fairpoint until her husband died in accident July 5, 1963, along with their oldest son Nick.
The family lived in Spearfish for a number of years where she built three mobile home parks and later moved to Box Elder where she owned and operated Wagon Wheel Village Mobile Home Park until her retirement in 2006.
She married Wayne Vig November 7, 1985, at Billings, MT, and combined two families.
She is survived by four children, five stepchildren, 33 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; both husbands; one son; and three stepdaughters.
Memorials have been established to the Sturgis Regional Hospital and the Piedmont Valley Library.
