Peggy Ruth Bauer, 81, of Rapid City passed away Saturday, August 24, 2013 at the Rapid City Regional Hospital.

Peggy grew up in the Lead, SD, and lived in Sturgis, SD, until 1991 when she and her husband, Ben moved to Rapid City.

Peggy, a loving gentle spirit will be greatly missed by her survivors: husband, Ben Bauer of Rapid City; daughters, Lynette Hall of Renton, WA, and Cathy Labor of Rapid City; sons, Mark (Janelle) Bauer and Paul (Noemi) Bauer of Piedmont, Scott Bauer and Jay Bauer of Rapid City; brother, Donald (Sandy) Balander of Poplar Grove, IL; 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents Victor and Mary (Westover) Balander of Lead, SD; and brothers, Victor and Charles Doug' Balander.

A memorial service will be held Friday, September 20, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. at Black Hills National Cemetery with Pastor Irvin Fields officiating. The family requests no flowers.
