Our mother, Peggy Petersen, is free from the debilitating Alzheimer's disease. She passed away peacefully April 14, 2020.
She was a vibrant person and lived life to the fullest. Peggy was an avid reader and was paranoid she would read all the books and nothing new would be left. She taught English to students in Lead High School in South Dakota and Weld Central in Keenesburg, Colorado. Even in the throes of Alzheimer's she would correct grammar mistakes made by people around her.
She is survived by Lynette (Tom) Petersen Helland, Lance (Cathy) Petersen, Larisa (John) Petersen Bailey, and Lincoln (Cindy) Petersen. She had 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
We loved her to the moon and back.
