SPEARFISH | Peter Bossert, 81, died December 9, 2016 in Spearfish, SD.

Peter was born on January 27, 1935 in Strausburg, ND to Adam and Rose (Schnieder) Bossert.

Peter served in the US Army from 1953 to 1956.

He is survived by a son, Lee "Loyal" (Sue) Bossert; three daughters, Rose (Shawn) Guilliams, Tina Martin, and Janet Bossert; three brothers, Tony (Carol) Bossert, Clemmy Bossert, and Bert Bossert; three sisters, Irene Meier, Sylvia Bossert, and Mary (Craig) Steven; thirteen grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.

Peter is preceded in death by his parents, Adam and Rose Bossert; four brothers; and two sisters.

Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on December 14, 2016 at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis with Reverend Micah Covington officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the Sturgis Veterans Honor Guard.
