Peter James Russo was born in Brooklyn, NY, on May 2, 1943. His devoted parents were the late Jeanette Florence (Della Rocca) Russo and Peter Joseph Russo of Orlando, FL. Pete was the first of two boys raised in Lindenhurst, NY.

Pete's working career included several quality control positions with aerospace companies in New York, California, and South Dakota before retiring from ITT (EDO) in 2008. In his early years, he enjoyed fishing the waters of The Great South Bay off the coast of Long Island. After building a home in Hill City, South Dakota in 2004, he made that his permanent retirement residence. He enjoyed the peacefulness of rural life and the freedom of riding his Harley through the rolling hills of South Dakota.

Pete, 73, of Hill City, SD, passed away on September 4, 2016.

He will be forever remembered by his loving wife, Suthinee Russo of Hill City, SD; daughters, Carol Grossi of Lynbrook, NY, and Jessica McQuown of Birmingham, AL; and brother, Richard Russo of Katy, TX. He was blessed with five grandsons; Remy, Daniel, Joseph, Kayden, and Dawson.

At Pete's request, a private family service will be held on Friday September 9, 2016.
