Obituary

Phibie was born March 21, 2011, in Sioux Falls, SD, to Josh Moyer and Shannon Huggett. From the second she came into this world, Phibie started touching hearts one by one, with her bright red hair and crystal baby blue eyes. She would brighten up a room with just a simple smile.

Phibie's hobbies for the next few years included learning everything she could from her brother, the good and the bad. Being mom's side kick and partner in crime and getting into everything and anything, no matter what she did though, you just couldn't be mad at her. Those big blue eyes and that perfect smile made it absolutely impossible.

Phibie was always happy. She didn't have a bad day, ever. She loved to sing and dance no matter who was watching. Phibie loved the summer, playing outside, and riding her bike. You could hear her coming a mile away thanks to her awesome training wheels. She was, though, borderline obsessed with her babies. To her, they were real. This girl loved to play mommy. Going to the grocery store was quite a task. She had to get her baby, whose name changed on a regular basis, dressed, put in her toy car seat and buckle it in. Phibie then had to get a diaper bag ready as if she was leaving for a month. Some might think it was a little overboard but she was definitely prepared. Phibie played T-ball last summer and was she excited and she loved being a part of something. Whether she was batting or playing the field, you can bet that she wasn't paying attention to the game, mainly because she needed to show off her mad dance skills. Phibie started kindergarten in the fall of 2016. She felt all grown up. There wasn't a day that she didn't get all excited for school. Phibie loved and adored her teachers, Mrs. Tullis and Miss Moravec, and of course her classmates who were all her best friends. Phibie Joyce was too sweet, kind, and innocent for this world. We will miss you baby girl.

Phibie Joyce Moyer, 6, of Sturgis, SD, was called home to her Lord on April 1, 2017. She was one of five innocent souls who were victims to a tragic house fire in Spearfish, SD.

Phibie is survived by her mother, Shannon Huggett (Nate Dogg); her father, Josh Moyer, (Jesse Moyer); siblings, Noah Huggett Moyer, Caleb Moyer, Marina (Zach) Waldbilig, Keano Moyer, Sierra Moyer, and Dominick Moyer; aunts and uncles, Josh (Brittany) Huggett, Nick (Amanda) Huggett, Bobby Maxwell, Shannon Ostby, Michael Beatson, Travis Springer, Jill Moyer, and Ashley Anderson; grandparents, Wayne (Misty) Huggett, Donald Bella, Teresa Moyer, and Linda Anderson; numerous cousins and extended family; Mrs. Tullis and Ms. Moravec; and her kindergarten class and all of her besties.
