Phyllis Yvonne Williams was born September 27th, 1937, in Berea, Nebraska, to Ellis and Marion Bowser. She was the youngest of four children. Her family moved to Hemingford, NE where she graduated high school in 1955. While waitressing at the local café she met the love of her life, Billy G. Williams, and they married two months later. Their marriage lasted 47 years.
They moved to Rapid City, South Dakota, in 1960, where they raised their family. She became an in-home childcare provider for over 350 children over the span of 38 years.
She was a generous person throughout her life. She donated everything from baked goods for firefighters, toiletries, handmade hats, scarves, mittens, and blankets to the Women's Shelter and Goodwill.
She was introduced to Pilots of Christ and began crocheting blankets for children being transported to various locations for medical treatment. She made over 600 blankets for charity.
She was devoted to her church spending time in prayer, making and serving coffee, greeting members and crocheting an unknown number of prayer shawls.
Phyllis (84) was called home on Wednesday March 23, 2022.
She is survived by daughters, Jodie Blankenship (Doug), their son, Zackery (Elizabeth), their daughter, Sophia of Skiatook, OK; Sarah Stroud (Dale II), their children, Dale III & Brett (Fiancé Kobe) of Roanoke, IN; Billie Bearden, her children, Veronica Olds (Dave), and their children, Eliza, and Amelia, and Mason, of Black Hawk, SD, and Bret Sether, & his wife, Nancy of Pierre, SD.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three siblings (Harold, Shirley, Alice), and one grandson, Corey.
