Fae Ondriezek 87 of Sturgis passed away at her home Saturday, November 8, 2008.

A memorial service will be 1:30pm Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at the Black Hills Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Sturgis, with Rev. Denzel Nonhof officiating.  Interment will follow at the Black Hills National Cemetery.

Fae was born to Henry & Elena (Scales) Anderson in New York, IA on February 11, 1921.  She was raised in Perkins County near Strool.  She attended school in Strool and Sorum graduating high school in 1939.  She then attended Beauty School in Deadwood graduating in 1940.  She worked in a beauty shop until 1949 opening her own Fae's Beauty Shop on Main Street downtown Sturgis and Whitewood, retiring in 1973.

Fae was a member of the Sturgis Senior Citizens Center, VFW Auxiliary, Sturgis Hospital Auxiliary, Modern Woodmen, and Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include her children Dale Ondriezek Jr of Sturgis, Rose Olson of Belle Fourche, Patricia Dickerson of Beaverton, OR, sister Helen Jacques of Norwalk, CA, 7 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Dale Sr., parents, and 2 grandchildren.
