Don was born October 25, 1932, the third of seven children to Carl and Muriel (Aarons) Bruce in White River, SD. He attended school and graduated from Mission High School in 1950.

He married Rose Schubauer on April 17, 1952, in Mission. After traveling to California and Montana, they moved to Sturgis in 1953 and raised their family.

Ralph Donald "Don" Bruce, 84, Sturgis, died Monday, January 30, 2017, at Rapid City Regional Hospital.

Don is survived by his six children, Max (Karen), Gillette, WY, Terry (Linda), Gillette, WY, Gene (Peggy), Sturgis, Debbie (Tim) Patmore, Sturgis, Jerry (Cindy), Sedona, AZ, and Connie (Randy) Berg, Sturgis; ten grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Tom, Dale, and Harry.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose; his parents; and siblings, Helen, Roy, and Harvey.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 2, 2017 from 5-7 p.m. at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis, SD.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, February 3, 2017 at 10:00 a.m.at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church with Father Timothy Castor officiating. Interment will be at Bear Butte Cemetery.
