Obituary

Ralph W. Lushbough, 64, Beulah, WY, died Monday, August 4, 2008, at the Rapid City Regional Hospital.

Memorial services will be held in conjunction with his father's funeral on Thursday, August 14, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. at the Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis with Pastor Gary Johnson officiating. Inurnment will be at the Bear Butte Cemetery in Sturgis.

Ralph was born April 9, 1944, at Rapid City, SD, to Wesley and Evelyn Ruth (Cooper) Lushbough. He grew up in Spearfish and graduated from Spearfish High School. Ralph attended Black Hills State in Spearfish before joining the SD Army National Guard.

Ralph married Doris Klatt-Miller at Rapid City, SD, on January 16, 1976.

He attended engineer school for the Chicago Northwestern Railroad and worked on the railroad for 25 years. After retiring, he lived in Beulah, WY, where he enjoyed fishing and helping others.

Ralph was a member of Modern Woodsmen of America and Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers.

Survivors include his sons, James (Katie) Lushbough, Rapid City, and John (Liza) Lushbough, Erie, CO; one daughter, Susan (Collin) Serienko, Bottineau, ND; his mother, Evelyn Lushbough, Spearfish; two sisters, Lavera (Kenneth) Moum, Topeka, KS, and Lavina (Marshall) Goddard, Prairie City, SD; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father.
