Ramona L. Prentice, 78 died at Redfield, SD on Thursday, August 23, 2007.

Ramona was born at Timber Lake, SD on December 3, 1928 to Floyd E. and Catherine (Cable) Winegar. She attended school at Vayland, SD and also Wessington Springs and graduated from Junction City, Oregon High School in 1949. She attended college at Santa Cruz, CA and graduated from Western Union College in 1949.

Her life was raising her children and being a close friend to her husband. She tried to be involved in all of her children's activities and was active in their school projects and the PTA. During the VietNam war she help send over 5500 lbs. of cookies and gifts to the soldiers just for the tremendous personal satisfaction.

Survivors include her three sons,one daughter, 2 Sisters, one brother,11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert L. Prentice and a sister Antoinette Hiser.

Committal services will be Monday, August 27, 2007 at the Black Hills National Cemetery with Rev. Pat McBride officiating.
