Raymond Chancey Reid, 79, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at Spearfish Regional Hospital.

Raymond was born in Newell, SD on June 1, 1940 to Leslie and Clara (Held) Reid. He grew up and attended school in the Newell area. After high school he proudly served in the United States Marines for a few years before his honorable discharge. Ray married Diane C. Londo on May 24, 1969 in Milwaukee, WI.

He is preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; and six sisters.

Ray is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Diane Reid, Belle Fourche; sons, Jeff (Silvia) Reid, San Diego, CA, and Greg Reid, Bangkok, Thailand; brother, Howard (Rose) Reid, Port Washington, WI; grandchildren, Caitlin Wellmon, Alexis (Ben) Cushman, Dawson Reid, William Reid, Jessica Reid, and Isabella Reid.

At his request cremation has taken place and a private inurnment will held.
