Richard Glen Cook, 72, of Gillette passed away Oct. 28, 2014, at Close to Home Hospice.

Richard was born March 11, 1942, in Murray, Utah, and grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah.

In October 1963, Richard married Janet FitzPatrick and together they had five children.

Richard spent three years in the Navy stationed in Washington and served on the U.S.S. Sacramento.

When he left the service they moved back to Salt Lake and later to Nevada.

He enjoyed fishing, fixing things and loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his children, Teresa (Rick) Maurmann, Diana Practer, Brenda (Todd) Blasi, Scott (Kim) Cook and Vicky Black. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
