Richard Michael, 84, passed away Wednesday, January 22 at the Regional Hospice House in Rapid City.

Richard "Mike" Dale Michael was born August 10, 1935, in Lebanon, Ohio. He graduated from Kings Mills High School and was one of ten brothers -- David, Paul, Jim, Bob, Jerry, John, Dan, Larry and Steve. He faithfully served in the United States Air Force for 22+ years.

He married Winifred Mackay on October 25th, 1958. They had three daughters - Rita, Jill and Terri. Mike retired from the Air Force in 1976 and made Rapid City his home due to his love of the outdoors.  He received his Business Administration degree from National College in 1981 and worked at Ace Hardware for many years. He was a regular at Millstone in Baken Park and could always be counted on for a corny joke and an inviting smile.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Doris, and brother, David.

He is survived by his wife, Wini; his daughters, Rita (Steve) Hansen of Kingwood, TX, Jill (Russell) Moberg of Bloomington, IN, and Terri Michael of Rapid City, SD; his grandchildren, Jared, Ryan, Alan McEntaffer, Matthew Moberg, and Zachary and Laurel Hansen; and his great granddaughter, Dakota McEntaffer.
