Obituary

Richard A. Keim, 62, of Bradford passed away at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2013, in Sturgis, S.D.

Born April 27, 1951, in Kewanee to Dwain and Marilynn (Miller) Keim, he married Penny Mari Ince Oct. 22, 1971, in Kewanee.

He was a 1969 graduate of Kewanee High School. He retired from Illinois Power Plant in Hennepin in April 2011. He was a member of I.B.E.W. Local 150.

Surviving are his former wife, Penny Hayes of Kewanee; one daughter, Jenny Keim of Kewanee; one son, Richard Keim of Kewanee; two special daughters, Amber Spaniel of Kewanee and Jacie (Randy) Hall of Castleton; one special son, Josh (Pam) Tuhey of Toulon; four grandchildren, Patience Keim of Kewanee, David Keim of Kewanee, Bentley Worlow-Grant of Kewanee and Willie Tuhey of Toulon; two brothers, David (Patricia) Keim of East Peoria and Marty Keim of East Moline; one sister, LuAnn (David) Sopiars of Kewanee; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 12 in the Grant-Johnson Funeral Home, Bradford, with the Rev. Amy Holman officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded after the services.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Aug. 11 in the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to the education fund for his grandchildren.
