Richard "Pop" Speights, 72, passed away Sunday, January 24, 2021 at Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City.

He was born June 17, 1948 in Coos Bay, Oregon to Leonard Speights and Monteen (Barringer) Speights.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Aris Kay (Fudge) Speights.

His memory will be cherished by his son, Kelly Martin and daughter in law, also Kelly Martin, four grandsons, Joseph Martin, Aaron Storie, Justin Bridges and Matthew Martin; daughter,  Christina Eastman and son in law, Jerry Eastman give grandsons John, David and Gerald along with granddaughter Rebecca Haines. Together having 6 great granddaughters and 2 great grandsons. Cousins, Jim Higgins and Eddy Haggard; and aunts, Shirley Barry and Marie Barringer; and numerous friends and family.

He loved to hunt, fish and always had a story to tell. He never knew a stranger and would help anyone if he could. He was "Pop" to everyone. A true, kind and gentle man that will truly be missed.
