Obituary

Robbin M. Spring, 61, of Union Center, SD, journeyed home with the Lord on July 6, 2022, while surrounded by her loved ones.

Robbin was born on December 18, 1960, to Cecil Bruse and Sandra (Weimer) (Bruse) Kost. She grew up mostly in Sturgis but also traveled overseas throughout her childhood with her mother and stepdad, Don. Robbin graduated from Sturgis Brown High School in 1979. Robbin loved dancing and that is how she met her future husband, Glen Spring, whom she married on July 25, 1981. They lived on the family ranch just north of Union Center. After their somewhat comical first date they found a love that grew strong and endured through 41 years of marriage; creating a love language only they understood but was endearing to see. She loved gardening, helping Glen on the ranch, and taking care of her many barn and house cats. The couple then went on to have four children. She worked in banking when her children started high-school and soon became "Mom" to the many friends of her children. Robbin was a wonderful cook from her potato salad to her world-famous cheese ball. She loved holidays especially Christmas and preparing a huge meal. Her children grew, thrived, and married growing her family and providing her what she considered her calling, being a mother and grandma.

Robbin is survived by her husband, Glen Spring of Union Center, SD; children: Kelly (Torey) Spring of Ekalaka, MT, Kasey Spring of Union Center, SD, Kayla (Josh) Porto of Rapid City, SD, Kerry (Jeremy) Schrader of Red Owl, SD; siblings, Loren (Donna) Bruse of Sturgis, SD, Ann (Jerome) Klein of Gillette, WY, and Georgette Clark of Maryville, TN; her step-dad, Don Kost of Sturgis, SD; and her beloved 10 grandchildren; Mariah, Shaniah, Alanah, Oakley, Blakely, Tru, Calgary, Rogue, Theia, and Rhyatt; many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Sandra Kost; father, Cecil Bruse; father in-law, Theodore Spring; sister, Christina Harter; daughter in-law, Sarah Austin (Spring).
