Barden, Robert Jody "50" USMC 22 years retired, passed away Saturday February 7, 2009, at his home in Oklahoma City, OK.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, February 13, 2009, at 12:30 p.m. at Kinkade Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Black Hills National Cemetery with military honors provided by the Sturgis Veteran's Honor Guard.

Jody was born January 25, 1959, in Sturgis to Robert and Punky Barden. He graduated from Sturgis High School. Jody was married to Evie Smith at Buffalo, SD, and later, was married to Dana Campbell of Oklahoma City.

He is survived by his parents, Robert and Punky Barden, Sturgis; two brothers, Cody (Wanda) and Lane (Twyla), all of Whitewood; three children, Danielle (Victor) Street, Wichita, KS, Benjamin Barden, Oklahoma City, OK, and Joshua Barden, Oklahoma City, OK; four grandchildren, Caleb, Hunter, Teagan, and Harley; two nephews, Justin and Kellen Barden; and four nieces, Cady, Carsey, Paige, and Jodi Barden.

A memorial has been established.
