IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Robert Martin
Berg
June 22, 1939 – December 11, 2020
Robert "Bob" M. Berg was born to Christ and H. Amelia Berg south of Mound City, SD, in Campbell County on June 22, 1939. He passed away on December 11, 2020, in Silver Bow, MT, at the age of 81, and will be sorely missed, but Heaven has gained a very "Special Angel".
Bob led a very interesting life. He attended South Dakota State University in Brookings, SD, for one year, then decided to return home and farm with his uncle. He married Karen Lee Harrison in 1960, and they stayed farming until 1962 when he was drafted by the United States Army. Bob spent one year in Colorado Springs, CO, and one year in Korea as a helicopter mechanic. He was discharged in 1964, and returned to the farm in Campbell County. He managed farms for large corporations for a few years after leaving the family farm in 1982, then started trucking in 1991, which he did until the time of passing.
He is now in the final phase of his journey to Heaven, where he will be with his Lord and Savior, and all of his loved ones. May God rest his soul.
Bob is survived by his wife, Karen; and his three children, Darcy, Dorle, and James; and many grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Della; and his mother, Amelia; as well as his aunt, Hilda, and uncle, Olaf Einarsrud who raised him.
Committal services will be 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 16, 2021, At Black Hills National cemetery near Sturgis with military honors.
