STURGIS - Robert Michael "Mike" Escott, 81, Sturgis, died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007, at Veterans Affairs Black Hills Health Care Center at Fort Meade. He served in the U.S. Navy.

Survivors include his wife, Rose Escott, Sturgis; one daughter, Wendy Taylor, Albuquerque, N.M.; two sisters, Dorothy Short and Peggy McGinnis, both of Sturgis; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 28, at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis, with Chaplain Bill Zandri officiating, and military honors by the Sturgis Veterans Honor Guard.
