Obituary

Bob was the third of 4 children born to Robert and Darlene Hegr, on February 25, 1964, between 2 older sisters, Robyn and Jana and youngest brother, Troy. Bobby attended and graduated from Lennox High School in 1982. He always wanted to tag along with his older sisters who weren't too keen on having a little brother tag along. He got his first guitar at the age of 8 and was so proud and happy. His siblings used to play hide and seek and he hid in a cedar chest until his Mom heard him yelling for help. He was breathless and panting and very scared when Mom found him. He was in cub scouts and he made a pinewood derby car for competition for the end of the year pinewood derby race. He and his siblings loved playing softball as kids in the fields at Emerson and Lincoln Elementary. Bobby had the most beautiful brown eyes, thickest black hair in which his sisters loved to brush, and the kindest heart toward others. He loved to collect Baseball caps and t-shirts.
Bobby was raised in a close, loving and supportive family. Bob had many friends; they were important and very special to him. As a young man along with the ups and downs of life, his faith and relationship with the Lord Jesus grew, and he had a heart for sharing his faith with others. Bob had a tremendous love for music and learned guitar at a very young age. He played in bands and loved to praise and worship with his talent. Although Bobby had struggles and battles like we all do, his greatest victory in life was realized the moment he took his last breath here on earth and his first in heaven. In that moment he was ushered face to face into the presence of Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior!
Bobby loved the Lord, his God. Bobby led music ministries at Crossroads and Teen Challenge and Set Free in Sturgis. He loved writing music, playing his guitar, and singing songs. He loved the Blues and enjoyed going to Blues clubs and listening to the bands. Bob loved pawn shops, thrift stores, second hand stores, rummage sales, a bargain, and anything free. He loved to watch movies, old classic westerns, and Stephen King.
Bobby had a best friend that he loved dearly and she loved him in return, her name is Bailey Boo. Bobby loved children especially his nieces, nephews,great-nieces, great-nephews, and the kids on the school bus. He was very passionate for elderly people and showed kindness, love, and willingness to be their friend and help them with whatever they needed. Bobby loved driving School Bus, Da Bus, and the Deadwood Trolley during the rally. He loved people and loved to make them laugh. He had a good sense of humor. He laughed loud and you couldn't help laughing when he got going. Everyone was a friend to him, he never met a stranger, and he had a heart of gold and would do anything for everyone. He always put others first; he only saw the good in people.
He also loved to golf, fish and loved the water, lakes, trees and being in nature, as well as taking photos and videos of scenic views, animals, and the changing seasons. He liked to poke fun out loud in front of strangers. It was sometimes embarrassing, but funny. He loved fire and the warmth of a wood burning stove, a campfire or fire pit. His favorite candy bar was three musketeers, favorite fruit was a banana, and his favorite color was red. He had a real sweet-tooth, especially Jana's cheesecake and jelly beans, and loved a good steak, Dad's dumplings, goulash, tomatoes, and sweet peas. He loved the road trip he took with his sister to Denver, CO, and up to the Rocky Mountains. They took in a concert and a baseball game
