Robert Mark Hobernicht was born and raised in Sturgis, SD. Mark lost his two-year battle with lung cancer and passed peacefully at home in Perris, CA, surrounded by his loving family.

He spent his happy childhood playing with friends in the neighborhood, helping out at the Bargain Barn and competing in baseball. Mark was married to the love of his life, Dana Hemenway, for 33 years. Together, they loved their daughter, Natasha and her husband, George Chapin III. The family recently welcomed Mark's granddaughter, Torrance Chapin.

The youngest of Nick and Joan Hobernicht's four children, he is survived by his mother, Joan Hobernicht; brothers, Howdy (Peggy), and Rich (Sheila); and his sister, Jayna (Bill).

Mark was predeceased by his father, Robert "Nick" Hobernicht; father-in-law, Lavern Hemenway; mother-in-law, Violet Hemenway; brothers-in-law, Gary Skavang, and Rodney Hemenway; as well as nephews, Jason, and Dustin Jutting; and niece, Amber Hemenway. Mark's many nieces and nephews brought him great joy. He loved them all.
