IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Robert Leon
Honey
December 2, 1969 – May 17, 2021
Robert (Bob) Leon Honey, 51, of Upton, WY, joined our Lord in Heaven on May 17, 2021. He passed away after a hard-fought battle from complications of Covid-19.
Bob was born December 2, 1969, in Rawlins, WY, to Harold and Betty Ann (Pollat) Honey. He was raised on the family ranch south of Upton with his sisters. He attended grade school in Newcastle and graduated from Upton High School in 1988. In his younger years Bob loved football, wrestling, helping around the ranch, and spending time at the Kokesh Ranch.
He married Robyn Rene Sweet on August 13, 1988. They were blessed with two sons, Tyler and Lucas. Bob was a loving and dedicated husband and father who always worked hard to provide for his family. During his sons' childhood years, he enjoyed attending their activities with wrestling tournaments being a favorite.
Bob worked at Barritt's Pallet Shop and then American Colloid during his first years after high school. He started at Black Thunder Coal Mine in 1998, and became a supervisor in 2015, remaining in that role until the time of his death.
He loved fishing, camping, classic car shows, and working on his cars in his spare time. He had recently begun hobbies in beekeeping and gardening, and his most recent joy in life was his two grandchildren, Austin and Eliza. His daughters-in-law, Katie and Lexie say they will always remember the laughs and smiles that he brought to them and their babies.
Survivors include his wife, Robyn; sons, Tyler (Katie), and Luke (Lexie); parents, Harold and Betty Ann; sisters, Brenda (Ed) Young, Debbie (Bruce) Shelton, Cheryl (Rob) Steele; grandchildren, Austin Honey, and Eliza Honey; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
