Bob was born September 29, 1946, at Sundance, Wyoming, to Wesley and Dorothy Stallbaum.

Bob retired from the Ft. Meade Fire Department as a captain in 1999.

He loved motorcycles, fishing, woodworking, and visiting with friends and family. He was an avid pool player and he never met a stranger.

Robert Louis Johnston, 70, Sturgis, died Friday, June 16, 2017, at Rapid City Regional Hospital.

Survivors include his children; Wes and Ken Johnston and Rachelle Mundy; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren; brother, Francis Mullenburg; sisters, Karen Maesjos, and Kathy Kennon.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Wednesday at the Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, June 22, 2017, at the Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis. Burial follows at the Bear Butte Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
