Robert M. Anderson, 58, died peacefully in his home on 10 September, 2016, due to cardio-vascular complications.

Robert was born to William E. and Elizabeth J (Smiley) Anderson on 17 September, 1958. He grew up and attended school in Belle Fourche. After High School Graduation in 1976, Rob attended University of South Dakota and Black Hills State College. He enlisted in the South Dakota Army National Guard in 1977 where he learned and enjoyed operating heavy, earth-moving equipment. He received his Honorable Discharge from the National Guard in 1983. He chose operating heavy equipment as his career path for the rest of his life, and enjoyed the work and his coworkers throughout his career.

Rob married Angie (sorry sis, little fuzzy here) on 5 December, 1980 in Belle Fourche. A daughter, Amanda Mae Anderson was born to this union.

Rob was preceded in death by his father, Wm. E. Anderson.

He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth J. (Smiley) Anderson, Spearfish, brothers Wm. Blaine (Colleen) Anderson, Belle Fourche; Chris (Autumn) Anderson, Rosemount, MN; and Eric (Amanda) Anderson of Mt Olive, NJ; Daughter Amanda and her children Taylor Anderson, Kaydince Anderson and Jeremy Curtis. Numerous Nephews, Nieces and very good friends shared his life and enjoyed his observations as well.
