PIEDMONT | Rodney Lee Schwartz was born in Sturgis, SD, to Delores Rose (Finn) Terry and Rineheart John Schwartz. Rodney grew up in Piedmont, SD, and attended Sturgis Brown High School.

For several years Rodney was a volunteer fire fighter for the Piedmont Fire Department. He held many construction jobs and was quite the handy man. if you would lend him your ear he would give you a story

Memorial services will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday, August 13, 2013, at the Piedmont VFW, with burial at Bear Butte Cemetery, Sturgis, SD.

He was proceeded in death by his father, Rineheart Schwartz, and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Survivors include his mother, Delores Terry; brother, Randy (Kris) Schwartz; and sister, Misty (Justin) Papenfuss.
