Roger L. "Pard" McMath, 71, Ft. Meade, died Monday, November 23, 2015, at the Department of Veterans Affairs, Ft. Meade.
Roger was born April 18, 1944, in Winner, SD, to Ernest and Edna McMath. He served in the US army from 1964 to 1967. Roger married Verbena in 1968 in Pierre, SD. Together they had two children, Shawn and Sonja.
He worked as a truck driver, hauling cattle and driving for Ellsworth Air Force Base and also for the City of Mission, SD. Roger enjoyed saddle bronc riding, golfing, family gettogethers, and spending time with his friends.
Survivors include his son, Shawn (Lisa) McMath; grandchildren, Jackson, Raven, Malik, and Asia McMath; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Bette Ann Marshall and Karen Hauff; nieces and nephews, Dianna Marshall, Dave Marshall, Dawn Marshall, Denita Marshall, Dana Marshall, and Danyelle
Means; and his former wife, Verbena McMath.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Sonja McMath; nephew, Sundown Means; and former wife, Nyna McMath.
Visitation will be from 8:00 a.m. until service time Friday, November 27, 2015, at Kinkade Funeral Chapel. Family and friends may gather at Kinkade Funeral Chapel prior to leaving for the cemetery.
Graveside services, with full military honors, will be held at11:00 a.m. Friday, November 27, at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis.
